Los Angeles Community Hospital Hosts Holiday Gathering for Kindergarten Class
Students from a nearby elementary school spent time with Santa Claus, extending a decade-long tradition.
The word “community” has been rapidly evolving over the past several years, challenging hospitals to rethink their approach to community engagement while maintaining strong relationships with their surrounding community.
Over the years, Los Angeles Community Hospital at Los Angeles has developed relationships with local organizations including the East Los Angeles Women's Center, The Urban Warehouse, and Casa Cultural Saybrook.
Los Angeles Community Hospital's most long-standing relationship is with Eastman Elementary School, located directly across the street from the hospital with more than 1,000 students ranging from pre-kindergarten through fifth grade. Each year for the past 10 years, the hospital has hosted a kindergarten class for a holiday party including gifts, photos with Santa Claus, and healthy snacks.
This year 20 students attended along with school administrators, teachers, and parents.
